Fallout

“Fallout” walks through the human cost of turning differences into enemies. Mournful orchestration, spacious passages, and crushing climaxes hold grief, disbelief, and unanswered questions together. At the center of the album, it asks listeners to face what remains when the arguments have become irreversible losses.

The words

Lyrics

Sirens fade into the dawn, Smoke where quiet once belonged, Names we knew-now etched in stone, Rooms still full… but no one home. You can’t imagine what we’ve done, The hell we brought on everyone, For lies we let them make us see- A fractured, false reality. Why did it have to come to this… Tell me-was it worth it? This is the fallout… look around, Nothing left we haven’t lost. All these lines we drew in blood- Tell me what they cost. We fought for life… we fought for truth… For faith… for what is real… But standing here in what remains… I begged you… to not demonize. You took a difference as betrayal, Every word became a crime, Call it wrong-then call it evil, For crossing your side of the line. What did you think would happen, When you stripped the human out? They told you we were enemies- But we were just like you. Why did it have to come to this… Tell me-was it worth it? This is the fallout… hear the sound, Echoes where the voices were, Every side still standing here- But no one’s really sure. We fought for life… we fought for truth… For faith… for what is real… But standing here in what remains… I begged you… to stop the divide. Every screen was drawing lines, Feeding anger into minds, We let them shape what we believed… Until there was nothing left to see. This is the fallout… this is it, Everything we said we’d risk, All we held and all we knew- Broken into something new. We fought for life… we fought for truth… For faith… for what is real… But standing here in what remains… And still… we chose the fire. Why did it have to come to this… Why did it have to come...to this.
