Privacy & external services

Browsing this site

You can explore the site without creating an account. The site does not collect payment details or include advertising.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics helps Dissent Theory understand visits, popular pages, traffic sources, and general device and location information. It uses cookies to distinguish visits. Analytics stays off until you accept; declining does not affect access to the music or contact form. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this site’s tag.

Your analytics choice is saved in this browser. You can change it using Cookie settings in the footer. Declining after accepting stops this site’s analytics and removes its accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not delete data previously collected. Browser privacy tools may also block analytics.

Contact messages

When you submit the contact form, Formspree processes your name, email address, topic, and message and forwards them to Dissent Theory’s private inbox. These details are used to read and respond to your inquiry, not to sign you up for a mailing list. Formspree may also process technical information to prevent spam and operate the service. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.

Contact-message contents are not sent by this site’s analytics code. To ask about a message you submitted or request its deletion, use the contact form. See Formspree’s privacy policy for its processing practices.

Music players and social links

Spotify players load only after you select “Load Spotify player.” At that point your browser connects to Spotify and its privacy practices apply. YouTube video thumbnails load from YouTube when displayed. Listening and social links open external services, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, which may use cookies or require an account. You can use the direct links instead of loading an embedded player.

Music and merchandise stores

CD and vinyl links open our elasticStage store. Merch links open the official Dissent Theory shop on Fourthwall. Purchases and payment details are handled by the store you choose, under its privacy and purchase policies.

Fonts and hosting

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Font and hosting providers may receive normal connection information, such as your IP address and browser information, when delivering the site.
