Crossroads

At the edge of a breaking point, “Crossroads” asks whether our differences are worth everything we could lose. Foreboding orchestration and a growing, insistent vocal give weight to its appeal for open hands and a change of direction. There is still time to step back.

The words

Lyrics

Look at me - don’t look away, We’re closer than we were yesterday, Every word is turning sharp, Drawing lines across the heart. We’ve been pushed to pick a side, Fed the fear, then justified, But tell me now before it’s gone… Is this the hill we’re dying on? This is it… this is now… Can we stop this… somehow… We’re at the crossroads… don’t let it burn, We can still stop this… we can still turn, Is this really worth the cost - Of everything we lose? We’re at the crossroads… can’t you see? We’re more alike than we believe, If we don’t stop… if we don’t try… We’re choosing how we say goodbye. Different names and different views, But the same things we all lose, Same blood just beneath the skin, Same hopes we’re fighting to defend. Every screen is drawing lines, Feeding anger into minds, Machines are shaping what we see - Telling us who we’re meant to be. Slow it down… hear me out… We don’t have to live this out… We’re at the crossroads… this is it, One more chance before we break, Are our differences worth the fall - Of everything that built us all? We’re at the crossroads… take a stand, Not with fists - but open hands, If we don’t stop… if we don’t try… We’re choosing how this all will die. Turn it off… step away… We can still stop this… We decide… What happens now. Don’t let this be how it ends!
